Week 15 - Exam week = Last Entry !!!!

For this entry, we were asked to answer all this question based on our experience on enrolling this course throughout this semester

1. What do you like about blogging?

For me, blogging really give me space to reflect back on what i had learn throughout this course. it is just like a diary in an electronic version where people put all their thoughts and feelings towards each post. i like it because from here, we can know about how other people feels about the same topic. i also like when there are some differences on how people react over the same thing.

2. What you do not like about blogging?

What i dont like about blogging is where people tends to forget that blog is open for all readers.... people tends to include their emotional feelings and their immature thoughts on certain things.... yes i know it is your space and you have the right to say what u like, but please remember, that others can still read and evaluate u through your words here.....

3. What have you gained from blogging eg. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc.

I've never been introduced to blog before this... yet when i enters UM, i have the chance to "play" with this thing and it really open my mind and my technology skills.

4. How?

By keep on engaging ourselves with this technology stuff.

5. What do you like about this course?

i love being introduce to this technology stuff as it is time for me to prepare myself and be resourceful so that i can be a great teacher when dealing with the 21st century kids in few years time.

6. What you do not like about this course?

to tell you the truth, i just dont like it when we were asked to do things that we already knew....

7. What have you learnt from this course?

i've learnt about how to manipulate things around us so that it can be something that we can use in a classroom... besides, i agree by integrating technology, we will manage to capture our students attention when we are out in 2 years time.

8. What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?

i dont know how i should go with this question......

9. What have u expected but do not learn from this course?

10. If you can change anything about this course, state what is and elaborate?

i would change the assignment.... heheheheh... it is not like i dont like it, but sometimes i do fell that the assignments need to be reduce and the weightage of the assignments should be more reasonable.....

one more thing, i dont really like it when we keep on changing groups to work with.... this is because, not all of us are staying near to one another..... thus by using this method which is keep on changing group mates, it might get the students to get confused and maybe promoting "passenger" in a group.

Week 14 - Assignment due date and REDO???

today is our assignment due date.... many group have prepared the teaching aids as we are assigned to.... as mdm F approach the class, she asks us to submit the assignment...... to our surprise, only 2 groups manage to do it right or according to the requirement required by mdm F.......

One thing that i want to highlight here is that, i think i know why almost majority of the group didnt do it right..... this mainly because of the assignment requirement keep on changing from time to time and i'm pretty sure that most of us got lost on the way..... perhaps one thing that could be improve here for both party is that, for the students, we should all pay attention during our class and to mdm F, maybe she could make it like black and white if there's any changes to be made on the assignment.....

i'm not going to pin point fingers here.... i'm just suggesting a way for everyone to keep on the right track..... cheers!!!!~ =)

Week 13 - MIcrosoft Publisher

Do anything as u like.... explore on your own on this software.... u'll find lots of interesting features about it.....

this week, we had been introduced to Microsoft Publisher.... there are a lot of features in it that i find it useful to be used in our lesson

we can use this software to create
1 - postcard
2 - poster
3 - greeting card
4 - brochure
5 - flyers

and many more...........

Week 12 - Video Submission

today we need to submit our video.... luckily for us, we've managed to finish up our video on time... although there are several last minute changed that had to be made, we are quite satisfied with our work.....

after the submission, all of us had chance to watch our friend's video as there are video viewing session..... some of them were really good and some of them can be improved more...... as for us, i dont want to comment on it..... but what i do know is that i'm satisfied with my video....... =)

week 11 - Video (in progress)

today we need to continue with our project.... me and my pair; jong had a fruitful discussion as we discuss about how our video will look like.... hopefully it can turn out to be like what we had planned for...... amin.....

week 10 - a week before raya

so not in the mood for class as raya is approaching soon.... everyone was in their raya mood..... few of us already went back to their hometown.... better to go back early then celebrating raya in KL...... rite?

week 9 - video editing

the lecture was like usual.....nothing new except for a few new korean video and from our seniors..... after the lecture, mdm F assign us with a new assignment.... we are required to create a video!!!

another video?? hurm..... there's one assignment before this that requires us to create a 3mins video.... luckily this time it is not as educational as the previous one.

upon creating a video, we need find a topic that we want to work on.... then, we need to create a storyboard....

week 8 - Tasks Submission

its a rainy day...... i cant go to class by bike as usual..... luckily my housemate has mdm foziah's number...... he called and explain to her and to our luck, she understand the situations...... as the day become cloudier than before, i knew that there isnt any sign that the rain will stop in the near future..... i've decided to drive to class although we might be facing the blue uniform at the UM gate..... (3rd year students are not allowed to bring in cars rite) =p

upon reaching UM, we hurried to our class..... our jeans and t-shirt was soaking with the rain..... for sure we'll be freezing in the MK afterwards...... as we are approaching the main door, we can feel the chill coming from MK as if we are sitting in a chiller......

move on to the assignment submission...... when i was about to submit my assignment, i was surprised to see that almost all my friends submit the assignment individually according to the task..... i've compiled all of it together!!!! Oh No!!! need to open and re-binding again....... huhuhuhuhuhu

i am very unlucky that day...... hope next week it wont turn out like this!

week 7 - Audio Editing

being introduced to a new software is an exciting experience. for this week, we had been introduced to Audacity... we used this software for audio editing...... the lectures goes on and on and after that, we are required to edit an audio file to apply what we had learn for the day....

unfortunately, we didn't manage to finish the task as there are no speakers provided and none of us brought any headphones..... as we didn't manage to do the task, mdm foziah had assigned us with 3 individual tasks and 1 group task.....

week 5 - Photo Editing [After]

week 5 - Photo Editing [Before]

its been a busy week...... assignments, task, workshop and all of sort of things that have to be done..... pity us rite? hehehehehhe

to reflect back on last week's lecture, it started of with something unusual...... FIRE DRILL!!!

it took like almost an hour till the firemen finish their "show" with the fire...... and after that, the class start of with a presentation by Mdm FM on how to edit pictures followed by several examples...... i'm so amazed seeing edited pictures made by them as i cant see no flaws at all......

hope one day that i can be as good as they are...... do u think so?

week 4 - Module

this is sort of like the continuation of last week's task........ we were given the time to finish up those assignment assigned to us....... to tell the truth, it is a lot...... i'm not sure if i can manage to finish it........ hopefully i can......

for these few weeks, our assignment is based on internet skills...... we are required to make some sort like manuals...... really hope that i'm on the right track........... there are lots of task to be covered......... from downloading files, to uploading files........ really glad that i've been introduced to new knowledge...... some of it are out of my context and i'm happy that i can learn new things.......

week 3 - Manual + Print Screen

reflection for the 3rd week.....

we were asked to make some sort like a manual on how to download mp3 from the web.......
guess what.... one of the late Jacko song..... hehehehhe

for me, it is kind of interesting being introduce to this skills...... although some of it i already know, but there's no harm in sharpening my skills rite? i never think bout doing a manual before this..... usually we can see manual from books, but in today's lesson, we were asked to do so.....

it is quite interesting actually to "play" with this technology stuff....... can explore on our own...... different people have different ways to obtain the mp3 from the net....... really glad to learn new things.......... but then, we do have to keep on reminding ourselves to create a backup file for all the task that had been assigned...... anything can happen within this technology stuff; hardware failure for example......

week 2 - My Philosophy

"It's hard to satisfy everybody, people might react in a different way, respond in a different manner, so take a very good care of the people that are close to you, those who can be love and love you. And try your best to be with the flow, you will be accepted"

I've been standing with these principal for some time. For me, it is hard to satisfy everybody around us. Living in a community teach me that we have to accept others. Egocentrism is just within children and cannot be carry forward in the adult world.Actually, this is my life's principle but i will try my best to relate it with teaching and learning. For me, as a teacher, we need to accept others. the same thing applies in the classroom. as we are dealing with kids, we should know that their egocentrism are high. they will always think that they are right and only view things in their very own perspective. So, as a teacher, we should first accept their ideas by assuming there's no wrong answer as we have to understand that they have their own reason for thinking like that. As their interlocutors, we should guide their thinking to the correct path, but not by labeling them as right or wrong. Besides that, different students have different needs. So, as a human being, we can't fulfill all the needs but then, we should all try our best to do our very best. This is what i meant by my philosophy.

our students is the future's destiny...... so as a teacher, shaping and moulding the destiny is part of our destiny...... we are destined to be teachers...... so we should try our best to shape and mould our students with the right guidance so that the future's destiny will be better...... they are our future leaders...... by guiding them to the right path, i think they will be fine.......... just remember future teachers;

Something to ponder.....

So it ever enough?

We fight for what is right in our minds...

But it seems not to impact the world around us.

Our lives so intertwined yet so separate as to only teach a small lesson to the others we know and love.

We see only our emotion, which is our whole world.

It takes many many experiences before we see that there is more than just us.

That even though to us our own feelings are everything, we are not the only people.

We are not alone.

We are blind.

Our own fate is in the hands of our friends, family and strangers in the world.

All our lives collide.

Raw feeling over takes our thought process, tears escape the strongest minded.

Screams escape the pain filled and smiles dance on the lips of the lucky.

Luck not being fortune, luck being the rare people who are content with all they have when it is nothing.

Some of us can't ever seem to find the person we're looking for,

And some of us only seek the understanding we've ever had.

It’s so easy to understand others even when they don't have the same understanding of you.

If anything we should all have the same goal in life,

To notice the other people around us.

The blood of the hearts we've slain as selfish people....

We are the WORLD!

week 1 - Blogging??

the 1st day of this course.......
been asked to create a blog though.......
donno what to write actually but we are supposed to write sumting regarding this course.... =p

don wan to write bout that........ just wanna write about what happen today.....

been marked as a troublemaker on my very 1st day? hehehhehehe.......
it doesn't lower my confidence......
kinda excited actually coz i can show some development to her....
as time flies, i will prove to her that i'm not like what she expected.......
maybe that will change her expression towards me.....

but then, thanks to her for introducing me to this field....... =)
